Rihanna has probably been getting some bad advice — singleton Jennifer Aniston has reportedly been giving her tips on men!

The Umbrella singer has apparently grown close to Brad Pitt’s ex-wife following Rihanna’s assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who was given five years probation for the attack.

“Jen has her fair share of imperfect relationships but not one of those men was ever disrespectful to her physically,” said Aniston’s movie producer pal Ray Manzella.

“No one would dare lay a hand on her because they know they just couldn’t get away with it.

“Hopefully that will rub off on Rihanna. She needs someone who can set the example that no woman should be treated with anything less than respect. I think Jen’s the one to do that.”

Aniston, 40, recently revealed that she’s the “go-to girl” when her pals are in need.

“My friends come to me in tough times for advice,” she said. “I am the go-to girl a lot but I love that. I love helping friends.

“I’ve been the recipient of great information and advice and a giver of it but when you are in need I think you have got to show up — whether it’s to celebrate or to console or whatever. I think it’s about consistency, loyalty and honesty.”

When Britney Spears’ two sons, Sean and Jayden, were looking for a pal to splash around with poolside during a recent trip with their mom to Mexico, they knew right who to call on: Her new beau, Jason Trawick.

“Jason was great with the kids and you can tell Britney really trusts him,” an eyewitness to the group’s three-night getaway at the Tides Zihuatanejo resort in Mexico earlier this month, tells Us. “He would pick up Jayden if he wanted to be held, immediately calming the boy down.”

And it is Trawick’s calming influence over her sons that puts mom Spears — whose two-year marriage to Kevin Federline ended in 2006 — at peace.

There appears to be some fire behind the smoke after all. Sneaking out for an evening on the town, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were side by side in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday night.

The Twilight co-stars ended up grabbing a bite to eat at Pinky’s Steakhouse before being spotted by paparazzi as they headed back to their hotel.

Currently up north finishing up the filming of “Eclipse,” Kristen recently spoke with press about the immense popularity of the “Twilight” saga.

She tells, “I have a really strong feeling that this is going to go away, that this is the most intense it’s going to get – and could get – and that it’s fleeting. I’d like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave.”

The Bella Swan beauty adds, “Some nights, I think, ‘You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.’ Then the next day I think, ‘Ugh. Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.’ But it’s like, ‘No, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.’ ”

The two, who are both currently filming separate movies in Vancouver, British Columbia, were apparently spotted at Goldfish Kitchen in Vancouver.

Their meal was supposedly off-menu and created just for them by the chef, and included wok tossed tempura squid, beef tataki and scallop risotto.

Zac is in Vancouver shooting “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud,” which is about is the bond between two brothers, one of whom survives a tragic crash and one who doesn’t. It costars Kim Basinger and Amanda Crew, and is slated to be released sometime in 2010.

Vanessa is working on Sucker Punch, which is about a girl who tries to escape the mental institution she was placed in by her abusive stepfather, and ultimately descends into an alternative reality. It co-stars Jena Malone, Emily Browning, and Abbie Cornish, and is slated for a 2011 release.

The latest news on the grapevine is that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and Entourage lead Kevin Connolly are dating. The couple apparently really dug into each other at the post-Emmys Entourage party. According to sources, they definitely seemed like they were dating.

“Hayden spent her entire evening at the Entourage table talking to Kevin. They were there to hang out together and stayed for hours until well after midnight. Kevin only left Hayden’s side towards the end of the night when he wanted to chat with someone at another table,” says the source.

We all know that Hayden is into dating older men and Kevin is a good 15 years her senior. I say there’s a good chance this might just be true.
