The former headmistress of Oprah Winfrey’s South African Leadership Academy for Girls has sued the television mogul for defamation. The headmistress, whose name is Nomvuyo Mzamane filed a civil suit in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court.

“We were forced to file this lawsuit because we didn’t get what we wanted a year ago . a public apology,” her attorney, Tim McGowan said.

Mzamane claims that Winfrey “launched what amounted to a defamatory campaign” against her last year by implying that the headmistress was “untrustworthy, failed the students of the academy, did not care about the students at the academy, knew of alleged physical and sexual abuse at the academy and participated in a cover-up of the alleged abuse.”

Beyonce has a ridiculously large security enoturage, as can be seen in this picture. In it, she’s just returning to her South Beach Hotel - not exactly a trip which warrants such a large security cordon. We wonder what happened to the singer’s legs, she’s looking so chubby.

With the release of her new album just around the corner, Beyonce is now dishing new details on her hotly awaited project.

“I have taken the time so I can create my sound, something that says who I am at this stage in my life,” she says on her official site. “I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old.”

When asked how she felt about her teeth being photoshopped on this month’s cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Kirsten Dunst said, “I haven’t heard about it.” Holding up her blonde locks and preening close-mouthed, she asked, “What do you think? Photoshopped? Well, you can’t speak before you have knowledge, darling. You’re a journalist. Are you just reading enough blogs to get you by?”

Englishman David Beckham says the thing he misses most about England is the food.

The soccer star - who moved to America to play for Los Angeles Galaxy last year - yearns for roast dinners, a traditional Sunday meal comprised of oven-cooked meat and vegetables.

He said: “I still love Sunday dinners. Victoria cooked one for the boys the other day but I was away. I was quite jealous. I also miss English pubs - having a good lager shandy and a Sunday lunch while watching the football [soccer].”

The 33-year-old says he is settling into his new life well, but has had some difficulty communicating with his new colleagues.

He said in an interview with Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “I sometimes say something and my team mates don’t understand me. Then they say things and I don’t have a clue what they are going on about.”

“The other day one of them said they had a raspberry, or it may have been strawberry. I can’t remember. They were talking about a grass burn! I couldn’t get my head around that one.”
