Like father, like daughter…Al and Tipper Gore’s oldest daughter, Karenna Gore Schiff, 36,  joined the club and split from her husband of 13 years, Dr. Andrew Schiff, 44.

The couple have three young children together, Wyatt, 10; Anna, 8; and Oscar, 3.  According to PEOPLE the two have been separated for several months, even trying to mend things with counseling before filing those nasty divorce papers.  As of now…no divorce papers have been filed.

The news of the separation came just one week after the former vice president and his wife announced their separation after 40 years….

Opposites attract after all? Not usually so for politics, but business is business. It is unlikely Rush Limbaugh and Sir Elton John would be attending the same event, and a wedding is just about the only place.

The boisterous conservative commentator got hitched for his fourth time over the weekend in Palm Beach. Elton John was in attendance to celebrate the nuptials with a performance.

It has been reported Elton John was compensated $1 million to perform for the event, but his rep would not comment on compensation, only that he in fact did perform at Limbaugh’s nuptials. According to PEOPLE, Limbaugh, 56, met his new wife, 33-year-old Kathryn Rogers, 6 years ago during his third divorce.

Say it isn’t so! Who would’ve thought after the Clinton/Gore era, Bill and Hilary Clinton would reconcile infidelity yet Al and Tipper Gore would split after 40 years of marriage. The Gores confirmed their split via and email to Politico.

The future ex-couple made a joint statement, “We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate.” After a 40 year union, wouldn’t you just go your separate ways and not even bother putting your energy into a divorce? Seriously, think of how long it would take to reach an agreement with 40 years of crap together. They’ll be dead before a settlement is made.

And where do you go after being with someone for 40 years? It is possible either Mr. or Mrs. has kindled another flame. Why else would you separate at their age after that long of a marriage? Any thoughts?

Former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s only daughter, Chelsea, is engaged.

Chelsea is set to wed her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, according to sources. Chelsea, 29, met Marc, son to former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies, in Washington D.C. and the two became close friends when they both attended Stanford University.

The happy couple sent out the following email announcing their engagement: “We’re sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays!”
