It is with deep regret we inform our readers about the death of Paul Newman at the age of 83.

Newman died on Friday of cancer. He had announced his retirement from acting in 2007, not due to his health but his aging-out memory banks.

“I’m not able to work anymore…at the level that I would want to,” Newman had said. “So I think that’s pretty much a closed book for me.”
