The Daily Stew wanted to wish you a safe and happy Cinco De Mayo! According to reports, Cinco De Mayo makes the top ten for the most drunken holidays.
Today we help celebrate the anniversary of an 1862 battle between an under-armed, Mexican army against a well-armed French Army which was led by Napoleon III. Can you guess who won? Ding…ding, ding, ding! The under-armed Mexican army won, hence the celebration.
So grab a beer, a shot of tequila and your sombrero and get ready to party.

A spokesperson for Brazil’s Secretariat for Women’s Affairs wants a beer commercial that Paris stars in off the air, reports the Associated Press.
In the ad, Paris poses in a LBD and rubs a can of Devassa (translation: naughty) beer on herself while onlookers watch through a window.
“It’s an ad that devalues women - in particular, blond women,” says the spokeswoman.
Eduardo Correia, a spokesperson for regulation company Conar, has held three investigations on the campaign and says the ad is offensive because it does not take place on the beach (ironic for a country known best for its itty-bitty bikinis).
“The problem with the ad isn’t a lack of clothing, but its sensual nature,” Correia said. “A woman in a bikini on a beach isn’t necessarily sensual; it depends on the context.”

Socialite Paris Hilton took to her Twitter handle on Tuesday night to reveal that her sister Nicky’s home had been burglarized.
“It’s unbelievable how my sister called the cops over an hour ago and they still haven’t shown up. Her house just got robbed, so messed up,” Paris tweeted. “I HATE people who steal! It’s so wrong! I hope they catch whoever did this! There has been so many robberies lately. So scary!”
Paris posted another tweet once law enforcement arrived, writing, “The cops finally just got to Nicky’s house. She thought her cats escaped in the robbery but she just found them under the bed. Thank God.”

Paris Hilton was spotted for the first time since tabloid reports surfaced claiming the socialite and her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt got into a physical argument on Halloween.
“It’s people making up silly stories,” she tells the photogs as she and Doug headed into BOA in Hollywood on Monday night.
On Monday, Paris’ rep gave ET this exclusive statement saying, “Doug had thrown Paris’ phone to a friend inside the car and it went out of the window by accident. Paris was annoyed with Doug because she was afraid that the paparazzi would get her phone. There was never a choking incident. The photographs show Doug asking Paris not to go back outside and to calm down.”

PETA is apparently outraged by the fact that Paris has recently purchased a piglet for a pet. PETA says it is a “wretched example of treating animals like they were as disposable as her friends and fiancés.”
