Production has been put on hold on the set of ‘Transformers 3′ after a car stunt went terribly wrong. A 24-year-old female extra, Gabriella Cedillo was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after an object plummeted through the window of her 2006 Toyota. At the time of the accident, she was in her own vehicle.
“The vehicle was being towed by another vehicle. The cable between the two vehicles broke. It whipped around and sliced through the woman’s car and sliced through her skull, apparently,” said Blaine Baker, another extra in the film. “From the way it looked, I don’t know if she was knocked out immediately or not but the…vehicle just went, it just kept going.”
Police say the vehicle continued for another mile before coming to a complete stop. Cedillo was airlifted to Loyola hospital and is currently in critical condition. According to the Indiana State Police, “the equipment pertaining to the stunt was impounded.”
Thursday was supposed to be the final day of Chicago shooting on the film, but unfortunately due to unplanned accidents, production has been postponed.
Gwyneth Paltrow has already had a very successful acting career winning an Academy Award, but maybe acting just isn’t enough because she’s about to add “country singer” to her resume.
The blonde beauty is the singer of “Country Strong,” a new country single about to be released Monday on country radio across the nation. The song is a track to the upcoming same-titled film, which Paltrow is starring in as a fallen country singer attempting to save her career with the assistance of a young songwriter.
The soundtrack for “Country Strong” is set to be released on October 26, and the film will premiere in theatres December 22. “Country Strong” is not Paltrow’s first endeavor in music, as she has previously teamed up with Huey Lewis to perform a cover of a Smokey Robinson classic “Cruisin’” for a film “Duets” back in 2000.
For those questioning the future of Tom Cruise’s career because of the lack of success from his latest flick, Knight and Day, things are looking up after all. Cruise himself has confirmed he will in fact be playing the role of Ethan Hunt once again in Mission: Impossible 4.
In addition to starring in the upcoming film, Cruise will also sit in the producer’s chair again, with co-producers, Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec. The familiar theme song is expected to hit theatres on Memorial Day weekend next year.
Edward Norton is out! So who is in? Marvel Studios is on a manhunt to replace Norton as the “Hulk” in the upcoming The Avengers. When Norton replaced the Australian, Eric Bana, audiences and critics agreed Norton was great for the role.
Now it is out with Norton, and Mark Ruffalo is in? Not exactly, but it has been rumored there is serious interest in the actor for the role. Although there is a big short difference as Ruffalo is at least four inches shorter than the two previous characters. Ruffalo is 5′9″ and Norton is 6′3″ however his acting skills are more than adequate.
Ruffalo has been hesitant about comic roles, as he once told MTV news, “I don’t know if I’ll ever end up in that world. I was a big Frank Miller fan growing up, the ‘Wolverine’ and ‘X-Men’ series was cool, but as I’ve gotten older, I sort of haven’t been so much into it. My kid’s getting into that stuff.” The question is, will Ruffalo do it for his kid?
Wow, obsessed much…Seriously!? Get a life! Would you really camp out for more than four days, just to see a glimpse of your favorite celebrity?
Well that’s what thousands of die hard Twilight fans did. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse premieres Thursday night…and thousands have already pitched tents at the Nokia Plaza L.A. in hopes to receive a wristband that will give them access to see Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner up close and personal.
According to KTLA-TV, only 9,000 wristbands will be passed out to “Twilight” fans. Unfortunately, fans will be relocated Wednesday to allow for premiere setup…So can someone tell me why they are pitching tents now, if they have to move anyways?
