Hah! Train wreck star Lindsay Lohan graces the cover of the October issue of Vanity Fair. The 24-year-old actress claims she made mistakes, and her wild days are in the past. Wow…About time she admits her stupidity!
“I was irresponsible. And I’m not making excuses.” Lohan admits that she was just young and curious. She says tabloid magazines were her main source of news, “I would look up to those girls…the Britney’s and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that.” She describes her partying days as her “college years…but they were in the public eye. I was irresponsible. I was experimenting. I was doing certain things that people do 10 times more of when they-re in college.”
“I see where that’s gotten me now,” she says, “and I don’t like it.” During the interview she blames her dad for her faults, and all the lies and rumors. “I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.” Like father, like daughter…
“I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have - never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am. I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done - to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me And I see what happened in my life because of it.”
Today Lindsay says, “I want my career back. I know that I’m a damn good actress, and it’s been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent and more into it.” Lohan continues, “I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway. I don’t care. It’s the same thing every time.”
Well, what do you think? Will Lindsay really turn her life around? The October issue of Vanity Fair, hits newsstands September 7th.
The Hollywood yummy mummy, Courtney Cox, is not usually the one whose love life is the focus of public attention because of her BFF Jennifer Aniston. In the upcoming issue of InStyle, Courtney opens up about her marriage to David Arquette.
Cox was remarkably candid in the interview, arriving without her wedding ring, the Cougar Town star admits that her 11-year marriage has had its ups and downs. She explains, “We’ve done couples therapy in the past. We’re not lazy about our marriage,” continuing to say, “We have the same arguments we’ve had for years.”
The 46-year-old believes disagreements are something that exist in all marriages and she doesn’t have unrealistic expectations they will all ever be resolved. “Some things just never change, and you should realize that the intriguing things you fall in love with will probably become the things that you don’t like, and the very things that you’ll be talking about for the rest of your relationship.”
Fortunatly, the Cox-Arquette marriage doesn’t seem all too dramatic just realistic, she says, “If we didn’t live together, David wouldn’t even notice if a light bulb had burned out! … He collects things; I don’t. When we first lived together, I lived with his clown paintings, bobbleheads … I couldn’t do that now.”
Courtney admits to having little Hollywood crushes on Zac Efron and Robert Pattison, 24, she admits, “That’s a really pretty face. I might feel insecure around him.” But in reality, her real love is Arquette, “One thing is, I let David be himself and he lets me be myself,” adding, “You have to make an effort to stay connected, and that’s something we work at.”
The creator of the gentlemen’s magazine, Playboy, Hugh Hefner has found himself in the middle of a bunny bid. The iconic silk pajama-clad 84-year-old is willing to buy out the rest of the company. Hefner currently owns about 70% of the company’s voting share, but it doesn’t seem the other 28% of nonvoting shares will budge.
Playboy magazine was founded by Hefner more than 50 years ago, and he and others believe Playboy can continue on in the digital age. Just hours after the announcement from Playboy Enterprises Inc. the corporate parent of rival Penthouse magazine expressed their interest to also make a bid.
However, may be Hefner’s proposal was not clear enough, because he has zero interest in a sale or a merge. The ultimate ladies’ man is fearful that selling Playboy could be detrimental to the brand and its legacy. As an alternative, Hefner has proposed joining up with Rizvi Traverse Management LLC to take the publication private.
As the current Playboy Editor-in-chief and chief creative officer, Hefner, is offering $5.50 per share in cash. His offer is nearly a 40% premium over the closing stock price on Friday at $3.94 per share. Based upon the number of outstanding shares, Hugh’s proposal is worth $122.5 million and holds value of Playboy at $185 million. Good luck, Hef! Playboy would never be the same without him.
After dating that badass, Justin Timberlake, for so long, Cameron Diaz isn’t wasting any more time. This is a joke. JT is definitely not a bad boy, in fact he actually seems like a gentleman. However, the Knight & Day actress still won’t dish about the status of her relationship with New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez. And A-Rod doesn’t exactly fit the description of a good guy.
Anyway, Diaz appears on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar August issue, and she says, “Who doesn’t like the bad boy, until you grow up and realize bad boys are not the way to go?” Diaz admits, “I’m done with that.” She then clarifies that she was not categorizing Timberlake as a bad boy. In fact the two will be appearing in a movie together, Bad Teacher, and Diaz says they “have laughed together for years. He is the funniest guy; you’ve seen the stuff he does on SNL.” So the world continues to wait for the confirmation of the Cameron and A-Rod romance.
She’s all grown up!
Dakota Fanning looks glamorous on the cover of Marie Claire’s August 2010 issue. The 16-year-old actress opened up to the mag about growing up in the business: “When you start out young, people get really attached to who you are at 6 years old. I hope that The Runaways was kind of a moment to be like, ‘You know, I’m not that young little girl anymore, but I’m still not all grown up, either.”
