Hah! Train wreck star Lindsay Lohan graces the cover of the October issue of Vanity Fair.  The 24-year-old actress claims she made mistakes, and her wild days are in the past.  Wow…About time she admits her stupidity!

“I was irresponsible. And I’m not making excuses.” Lohan admits that she was just young and curious.  She says tabloid magazines were her main source of news,  “I would look up to those girls…the Britney’s and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that.”  She describes her partying days as her “college years…but they were in the public eye. I was irresponsible. I was experimenting. I was doing certain things that people do 10 times more of when they-re in college.”

“I see where that’s gotten me now,” she says, “and I don’t like it.” During the interview she blames her dad for her faults, and all the lies and rumors. “I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.”  Like father, like daughter…

“I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have - never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am. I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done - to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me And I see what happened in my life because of it.”

Today Lindsay says, “I want my career back. I know that I’m a damn good actress, and it’s been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent and more into it.” Lohan continues,  “I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway. I don’t care. It’s the same thing every time.”

That didn’t last long!  Train wreck star, Lindsay Lohan has been released from Lynwood Correctional Facility after serving 13 days of a 90-day sentence for violating probation on a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.   Wow, must be nice to be a celebrity.  I am sure she learned her lesson this time…

“The court order specified that certain named people would pick her up. It’s our understanding she went directly to a treatment center,” said sheriff’s spokesperson, Steve Whitmore,  adding that, “when an inmate is released, they leave with the clothes they came in. She was given two huge bags full of mail and books. She was noticeably moved by the amount of mail and books sent to her. She thanked everybody as she left.”

She will now be serving three months at the UCLA Medical Center to begin her rehab treatment for her addiction to amphetamines and bipolar disorder.  The initial plan was to send her directly to Morningside Recovery, though there were many concerns that it wouldn’t be a safe environment for LiLo.  Hah! It may not exactly be the kind of support Lindsay Lohan needs or is looking for, but she should take all the support she can get. Early Tuesday morning, the Beach Bum tanning salon in New York City held a “Free Lindsay” rally outside their Seventh Avenue address.

A gaggle of bronze LiLo fans, mostly wearing cut off tops and daisy dukes, made dozens of homemade posters saying “Liberate Lindsay” and “We miss you.” Spare me. This is probably their most genuine attempt in using Lindsay Lohan’s popularity to gain exposure for some lame reality show. Or … they could be really concerned about LiLo’s diminishing bronze glow while jailed up.

The Beach Bum owner, James Oliver, also held a similar rally when Paris Hilton was sent to the slammer, and says the Lohan gals have been bronzing at Beach Bum for over a decade.

1 day down…two more weeks to go!  Must be nice to be a celebrity and only serve 14 days of a 90-day jail sentence!  This marks the first day of Lindsay Lohan’s jail sentence at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.

Lohan’s attorney claims she is “having a difficult time adjusting.”   “She’s trying to make the necessary adjustments to an extremely stressful and difficult situation,” attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told People.  “There were some tears.”  I don’t know why she is crying…she still has her pills.  According to TMZ even being behind bars, LiLo will be allowed to take prescription medication including the attention deficit disorder drug Adderall, and the sleeping pill Ambien.  Thank God…we don’t want the train wreck going insane!

Her father, Michael Lohan however doesn’t agree with the law, “She’s got to get off prescription drugs,” he said on CNN’s “Larry King Live” Tuesday night. “I don’t think jail is going to change her; I think she needs to change herself.” These two weeks should fly by…

Wow Lindsay…have you finally realized that it’s time for detox?

According to recent reports, train wreck star Lindsay Lohan who is ordered to report to jail in 5 days, has checked herself into a Hollywood, California sober-living house.   She was spotted yesterday entering the facility with mom, Dina and on-again, off-again girlfriend,  Sam Ronson.

Apparently the clinic is owned by her new lawyer, Robert Shapiro who plans on convincing Judge Marsha Revel to dismiss her sentence entirely or help reduce her 90-day jail sentence.

“Why is that I had to cry from the mountain for Lindsay to listen to me, and now finally she is doing what I said?  I just pray they implement everything else I said, like getting Lindsay clean of all meds, picking all new friends and management, and that Dina put her motives aside and she go to counseling with Lindsay and me,” says Michael Lohan.
