Brad Pitt, along with his relatives, have generously donated $1 million to a new pediatric cancer center in the actor’s hometown of Springfield, Missouri.
The center, St. John’s Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center, is named after Pitt’s mother and will open this summer on the fifth floor of St. John’s Children’s Hospital.
Brad’s brother and sister-in-law Doug and Lisa Pitt, along with his sister and brother-in-law Julie and Rob Neal, also contributed to the endowment that will fund the region’s first pediatric oncologist/hematologist that will work at the cancer center.

George Clooney has a type, and brunettes with an ability to carry more than one alcoholic beverage at a time appear to be at the top of his list. The two-time Sexiest Man Alive, who split from Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sarah Larson in May, was supposedly spied eyeing one of her London peers last week.
Sources claim that Clooney, who’s still saddled with a suaveness-sapping, role-required dejected caterpillar on his upper lip, was chatting up a “pretty and petite” dark-haired drink-slinger at nightclub Whiskey Mist. Word is, he met her on a previous trip to town and went to the hot spot in hopes of seeing her.
“George arrived at the bar at midnight and went straight to talk and drink with a brunette behind the bar,” according to a source. “He looked very happy and was polite to the long line of female admirers who came up to talk to him.”
Update:
In between getting his flirt on, George also did some good while he was in London, raising a reported $14 million with a star-packed soiree that attracted the likes of Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Bono, Guy Ritchie and Cindy Crawford. The funds are earmarked for his humanitarian-oriented Not on Our Watch charity, which he started with Damon and fellow “Oceans” buddies Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle.

She may be a mother now and finally in a stable relationship (with Brad Pitt), but Angelina Jolie still remembers her bygone days when she used to throw caution to the winds in everything that she did.
She said, .I used to think I was unstable, because I had this thirst for something. I could never figure out what it was. I couldn.t sleep at night, and I always wanted to be somewhere else, and I have a window tattooed, this little box, and it.s because wherever I was, I wanted to be somewhere else. And I always saw myself - wherever I was in life - staring out the window.”
She added: .I knew little about the world, and I was completely self-absorbed. It was only when I came out of my shell and started taking care of others that I found the real Angelina..
Update:
Angelina Jolie has returned from a two-day humanitarian trip to Afghanistan this week, visiting poverty-stricken families.

Paris Hilton was in attendance for the Fifth Annual Summer.s End Beach Party benefiting Nevada Cancer Center. The party was on Saturday night. The hotel heiress, has had personal experience of battling cancer as her grandmother suffered from breast cancer.
At the event which raised over $1.5 million, the reality TV star said that “everyone has been touched by cancer in one way or another”, and encouraged party-goers to donate generously. This is obviously a matter close to Paris Hilton’s heart as this was the second time she was attending a Nevada Cancer Institute fundraiser.
