It has been reported the troubled rapper, T.I., and his wife were arrested in California after authorities discovered a controlled substance in their possession. The couple were taken into custody after a traffic stop late Wednesday night.

When they were pulled over, Los Angeles police reported the smell of marijuana coming from the rapper’s car. Unfortunately, for T.I., whose legal name is Clifford Joseph Harris, this isn’t his first brush with the law.
Harris was sentenced to prison in 2008, he was charged for the unlawful possession of firearms as a convicted felon. T.I. was arrested when federal agent saw him buy three machine guns in a grocery store parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia.

After serving 9 months in prison, T.I. then spent three months in a halfway house. After his release from prison, Harris did an interview at CNN and said, “Well, I’m just ready to put the bad things behind me and look forward to the future and, you know, just move forward and evolve — continue to evolve.”

Well, T.I. evolved with his wife, Tameka Dianne Cottle, straight back to the slammer and is they’re being held on $10,000 bail. The outcome of this arrest could be more bad news for the rapper.

It looks like some things may never change for the hotel heiress, Paris Hilton. Late Friday night, Hilton was arrested in Las Vegas for the possession of a controlled substance, after police discovered cocaine in her purse.

The 29-year-old was in a vehicle pulled over on Las Vegas Boulevard for a routine traffic stop. It was reported the officers at the scene suspected marijuana smoke to be coming from the vehicle. The Hollywood socialite was not driving the vehicle. The stop took place outside the Wynn Hotel where Hilton’s flavor of the month, Cy Waits, manages a nightclub.

After the discovery of the cocaine in Paris’s purse, she was detained in the Clark County Detention Center early Saturday, and was later released. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested on DUI drug charges. It certainly has been an eventful summer for Hilton, as Friday’s arrest was the third drug-related incident she has been involved in throughout the course of the summer, including her travels in Europe.

For now, Paris is playing the “it wasn’t my cocaine” card, and for all of her “supporters” she tweeted, “I’m so thankful to all my fans for all the love and support you are giving me. Thank you all. Love you so much. Love Paris xoxo.”  And who could imagine the parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, being upset over this? Apparently, after all the drama, Paris’s parents are “flipping out” and have expressed their dislike for her new man. Good luck with this one Paris, but in raw form it’s just a pattern.

Just two weeks after the American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino, was hospitalized for an overdose of aspirin and sleep aid, the singer explains it wasn’t an accident. She wanted it to be over.

Barrino told VH1 in a new Behind the Music interview, “I didn’t have any fight in me. I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted out.” The interview will air Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the same day as the release of her latest album Back to Me. Fantasia explains, “At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with — all of it, all of that ****.”

The troubled mom admitted, “I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can’t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.”

Fantasia was found lying on the floor in her room by her manager, Brian Dickens. Upon his arrival, Dickens says, “Her emotions were extremely low. She’d been crying all day. Fantasia was just numb,” adding, “Fantasia texted me, saying ‘I love you.’ I wrote back, ‘I love you more.’ Then it hit me.”

Dickens replied to Barrino, “I wrote, ‘You better not do anything or think about doing anything stupid.’ And I left it at that. About ten minutes later, Fantasia texted me back, and she said, ‘Already did.’ I went to Fantasia’s room and saw her on the floor, and my heart just dropped.”

What could have possibly made this singing talent want to end her life? “I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family — my father, dealing with men and their **** … I was tired,” Barrino says. “My head was hurting me. I was over it.”

While commuting to their next stop on tour, Bret Michael’s tour bus was searched by authorities. The Indiana sheriff’s deputies found marijuana on the rock star’s bus after the K-9 unit caught a whiff of something illegal in the middle of a routine traffic stop.

The deputies in Dekalb County said they discovered some pot on both buses in Michael’s caravan, in addition to “a quantity of Schedule II controlled substances” which was not specified but could be anything from cocaine to methamphetamine to oxycodone. According to the officer reports, the substance was not found on the bus Michael’s was riding in.

Michael’s rep confirmed to E! News, “Two of Bret’s tour busses were pulled over last night. Officers on the scene claimed there were no trailer tag lights. No arrests were made. Mr. Michaels allowed an open search of the buses and everything was handled in a professional manner.”

It seems maybe as though the Poison frontman really has turned his life around after his medical ordeals this year. Or maybe he’s been a softy all along and the world is only realizing it now.

It has been confirmed by the Los Angeles Country coroner spokesman that Simon Monjack’s death 2 months ago was caused by acute pneumonia and severe anemia. The Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter said, “Just like Brittany,” referring to Monjack’s wife’s death five months prior. Winter also confirmed there were prescription drugs in his system, but not in lethal levels. So it’s safe to say it wasn’t a broken heart?

This is some sick stuff. Monjack hasn’t exactly projected a squeaky clean image after the death of his wife with the establishment of some shady “foundation” and charging people to mourn at Brittany Murphy’s memorial service. Anyway, it would seem ludicrous to believe Simon did anything but die from same fatal concoction as his wife.

However, Murphy’s mother, Sharon, has released a definitive statement saying the preliminary finding should “stop the reckless innuendos that my daughter and son-in-law misused and kind of prescription medications.” Sharon continued to say, “It is with great relief that Simon’s preliminary autopsy findings have been released, so the media speculation can stop … As I was sure of, just like my daughter Brittany, there was no kind of drug overdose.”

The final autopsy report is expected to be released in a couple weeks. The coroner’s office will be doing additional testing at the request of Monjack’s family before the results are released.
