Gwyneth Paltrow has already had a very successful  acting career winning an Academy Award, but maybe acting just isn’t enough because she’s about to add “country singer” to her resume.

The blonde beauty is the singer of “Country Strong,” a new country single about to be released Monday on country radio across the nation. The song is a track to the upcoming same-titled film, which Paltrow is starring in as a fallen country singer attempting to save her career with the assistance of a young songwriter.

The soundtrack for “Country Strong” is set to be released on October 26, and the film will premiere in theatres December 22. “Country Strong” is not Paltrow’s first endeavor in music, as she has previously teamed up with Huey Lewis to perform a cover of a Smokey Robinson classic “Cruisin’” for a film “Duets” back in 2000.

Although the estranged couple, Jon and Kate Gosselin, quickly settled their divorce, they are still battling over who will have full custody of their litter of eight.

Jon filed for primary custody of the kids back in April, claiming Kate “abuses” the terms of the custody agreement in place and during her stint of DWTS, she was an “absentee parent.” According to PEOPLE, reports show Kate currently has primary custody of the kids and Jon is currently paying $21,000 a month in child support, an agreement the was reached through arbitration.

Despite the rumors that Jon and Kate have reached a highly confidential agreement, Jon’s attorney, Mary Vidas told CNN the custody battle is ongoing and an agreement has yet to be reached. Those Gosselin kids are just so lucky to have such “special” parents.

The eldest of the fame hungry Kardashian sisters, Kourtney, has come to the defense of her boyfriend and baby daddy, Scott Disick. Apparently, Kourtney wants to clear up the rumors that Scott is a terrible boyfriend and a nightmare of a father to their 7-month-old son, Mason. She’s saying he is not.

“He’s very loving and sensitive,” Kourtney tells PEOPLE over the weekend, “We were laughing with his parents about that. Scott’s their little baby boy. And they were joking about the rumors. Scott’s obviously not a monster.” Okay, “obviously” is out of context, because to the public eye, Scott “obviously” is a monster. Actually, if she has watched her reality show Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, she shouldn’t let him within 500 yards of their child.

Anyhow, Kourtney goes on to say, “Mason is such a mommy’s boy.” And as Disick has watched Kourtney’s transition into motherhood, he said, “It’s just one more quality that I love about her now. I could never have imagined her to be the amazing mother that she is today. And now it’s just one more reason that I love her.” Yeah, whatever. Scott also explains, “It’s a whole different world now that I have a child … And, yes, I have grown up quite a bit.” Oh! And Scott’s still a monster … obviously.

The pop princess, Britney Spears, and her boyfriend/agent, Jason Trawick have been dating since last year. Saturday night, the couple were spotted at dinner for a party of four … along with Jason’s parents.

Before heading to see a show at Pantages Theatre, the on and off again couple shared a double date with Trawick’s mom and dad at the Grafton on Sunset Hotel’s Olive Kitchen + Bar. The four enjoyed some Italian bites, and a witness says it appeared Britney was enjoying the down time with her boyfriend and his family.

An onlooker said, “She seemed to fit in very well with his family … She seemed very comfortable. She was very warm to them.” Shortly after the pair began the romantic relationship, there were rumors of engagement. Now, Britney and Jason have been staying under the radar and are keeping it low-key.

Initially, first-time mother Tiffani Thiessen had wished to use hypnobirthing in the delivery of her first child, but thankfully was open to additional options. Thiessen’s daughter, Harper Renn, had other plans when it came to her June 15th birthday.

Thiessen told PEOPLE, “First my water didn’t break; they had to do it for me. Then the baby wasn’t descending because the cord was wrapped around her neck.” Ultimately, little baby Harper had to be delivered via c-section after her mother endured 30 hours of labor.

Harper’s mom described the experience saying, “Once she was finally out, I didn’t even get to hold her before they whisked her away … The whole thing was very surreal.” Now, Harper is 5 weeks old and both mom and baby are incredibly happy and healthy.
