Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is at least two weeks overdue now, and during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, big sister Jessica Simpson revealed that Ashlee’s actually considering having labor induced.

“They’re going to have to induce labor,” she said. “It’s already developing really quick.”

Jessica also revealed that Ashlee’s been trying all sorts of ways to get herself to go into labor. “Different foot massages and stuff,” Jessica said. “I don’t know. I think she’s really just jumping around trying everything right now.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, pregnant as ever, was accompanied by her husband Pete to the Pantages Theatre to watch ‘Wicked’. She is due this month.

What is amazing is that Pete still doesn’t seem to have outgrown his bad sense of dressing. Not really the sort of role model he would want for his own child.

Rumor has it that Ashlee and Pete’s kid is going to be a boy. The star couple was reportedly found shopping for blue-coloured baby things. However, judging by the unconventional nature of both of them, it’s not so easy to associate nursery colour with anything significant.

I mean, look at them in the pic! Both of them are wearing eyewear (him in the glasses and she wearing those wayfarers)  that can best be described as ‘gypsy-ish.’ Also the orange look doesn’t quite suit you, Ashlee. Time to consult a good fashion designer for both of them.

Ashlee Simpson - young, married, successful and now pregnant to boot. All ingredients to her glowing happiness. Meanwhile her elder sister, Jessica, is already feeling over the shelf - given she’s only 27 and has been dating Tony Romo for about eight months now, but sources report she’s brooding that even though she is prettier and more famous why is it her sister who is getting all the happiness and love.

“She sent me a picture of her belly,” Jessica recently said on The View. “She’s popping, it’s so cute!”

Although her sister has sounded quite excited about her sister’s bump, sources say it’s now beginning to pinch.

Ashlee, 23, and husband Pete Wentz confirmed their pregnancy this May shortly after tying the knot in Beverly Hills. Pete had recently confessed to having made out with guys on more than one occasion, and even admitted to a tiny crush on John Mayer! Before the baby arrives, the newlyweds have already added a new member to their family: Rigby, a 10-week-old puppy.
