Just two weeks after the American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino, was hospitalized for an overdose of aspirin and sleep aid, the singer explains it wasn’t an accident. She wanted it to be over.

Barrino told VH1 in a new Behind the Music interview, “I didn’t have any fight in me. I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted out.” The interview will air Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the same day as the release of her latest album Back to Me. Fantasia explains, “At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with — all of it, all of that ****.”

The troubled mom admitted, “I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can’t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.”

Fantasia was found lying on the floor in her room by her manager, Brian Dickens. Upon his arrival, Dickens says, “Her emotions were extremely low. She’d been crying all day. Fantasia was just numb,” adding, “Fantasia texted me, saying ‘I love you.’ I wrote back, ‘I love you more.’ Then it hit me.”

Dickens replied to Barrino, “I wrote, ‘You better not do anything or think about doing anything stupid.’ And I left it at that. About ten minutes later, Fantasia texted me back, and she said, ‘Already did.’ I went to Fantasia’s room and saw her on the floor, and my heart just dropped.”

What could have possibly made this singing talent want to end her life? “I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family — my father, dealing with men and their **** … I was tired,” Barrino says. “My head was hurting me. I was over it.”

So many changes in such little time!  Rumors surfaced yesterday that comedian Ellen DeGeneres would be leaving TV’s most-watched series, American Idol after one season on the judging panel…Unfortunately,  Fox has just made it official.  “This didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” DeGeneres wrote in a statement on her official website. “It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

With Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres departing American Idol, and Kara DioGuardi being axed from the show…is Randy the only one left? Hah! Pathetic!  The show will supposedly be going back to a three-judge format, if all goes according to plan.

According to recent reports the new American Idol judges will consist of Randy Jackson, pop star Jennifer Lopez, and Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler.  Why Fox thinks Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler would make a great fit…no one will ever know!

What do you think about the new judge panel? Will you be tuning in for this season?

In Southern style, the American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, and hockey player, Mike Fisher, swapped vows under a tent in Georgia on Saturday. The couple’s wedding planner called the event “a spiritual expression of their love” and a special moment for a “very special couple.”

The special day for the gorgeous newlyweds took place at a posh resort, the Ritz Cartlon Reynolds Plantation. Underwood, 27, and Fisher, 30, tied the knot in front of 250 friends and family in a ceremony with classical music and their favorite bible readings.

In a statement to PEOPLE, the couple said, “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” They signed the statement “Mike & Carrie Fisher.”

Carrie wore a Chantilly lace wedding gown designed especially for her by Monique Lhuillier, who also created the bridesmaids’ dresses. Fisher proposed to Underwood on December 20 after the duo quietly dated for about a year. In March, Carrie kept quiet about their wedding plans saying, “We’ll be little nomads for a while,” and the couple plan to keep their homes in Nashville as well as Peterborough, Ontario. Cheers to the Newlyweds!

Among the speculated replacements for Simon Cowell’s judging seat on American Idol, is front runner, Howard Stern. In February, the rumors surfaced about Stern’s potential career move, when the incredibly opinionated radio personality said, “I have been offered a job at one of the big networks… to host a — well, not host, but judge a primetime show.” When approached about the vague statement, Stern told TMZ, “I’m too good for American Idol.”

Stern’s wife, Beth Ostrosky Stern gushed, “I’m so lucky that I get to sit next to him when we watch American Idol every week.” The 37-year-old model added, “I’m in stitches, he’s so funny but yet he’s very serious about it. And he’s also a big cheerleader for the contestants and he’s very honest.” Ostrosky Stern thinks her hubby “would be great.” But admits, “Do I think it’s going to happen? No.” Well, that’s disappointing.

It has been a year and a half since Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew were brutally murdered in Chicago, and last night the singer opened up on VH1’s Behind the Music. The episode is the first time J-Hud has spoken in length about her devastating story.

The Dreamgirls Oscar-winner admitted, “For almost two weeks straight… I was inside one room with just family and friends coming in and out,” saying in the episode, “I prayed when I’d get up in the morning and prayed before I laid down at night.”

J-Hud’s 57-year-old mom, Darnell Hudson Donerson, and her 29-year-old brother, Jason, were both found with multiple gunshot wounds inside Hudson’s childhood home. Her 7-year-old nephew, Julian, was later found dead in an SUV, also with multiple gunshot wounds. Hudson explains, “It’s all a blur, it was surreal. It was like I was outside of myself. I feel like I’ve lived about three or four different lives.”

Hudson since has become engaged to WWE wrestler, David Otunga, and the couple have an 11-month-old son, David Jr., together. She speaks so adoringly of her family and her loving upbringing in the interview. Hudson says her son has helped her overcome the pain, and reminds her of her mom and nephew, “In so many ways, I channel her because she was such a great mom.” And Hudson gushes that little David “makes me feel like the most special person on Earth. I want him to get the same love and the same upbringing my mother gave us.”

Just months after the murders, the former American Idol contestant made one of her first public appearance at the 2009 Grammys, and gave an incredibly emotional and moving performance of ‘You Pulled Me Through.’ Looking back, she recalls the moment, “I was definitely thinking of my family when I was singing that song,” admitting, “I could hear my brother in my head, like, ‘Jennifer, you need to kill this, you need to get up and do it.’ I knew he would be disappointed if I didn’t do it justice.” When Hudson won Best R&B Album, she thanked “my family in heaven, and those who are here today,” in her acceptance speech. This young lady has endured so much, and her story has truly been inspirational across the globe.
