Britney Spears says that since her breakdown, her life has been worse than a jail sentence – but that she’s slowly healing one day at a time.

“I have really good days, and then I have bad days,” the singer, 26, admits in a new fly-on-the wall, 90-minute documentary, Britney: For The Record, to air in the U.S. Nov. 30 on MTV and in the U.K. Dec. 1 on Sky1.

Struggling to gain control of her life again after her public meltdown earlier this year, she says candidly: “Even when you go to jail, y’know, there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like [the Bill Murray movie] Groundhog Day.”

She adds, “I’m having to pay for it for a really long time.”

Spears was hospitalized for mental evaluation in January, which resulted in her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, being granted sole custody of their sons, Preston and Jayden. Her father, Jamie Spears, also gained legal control over her affairs.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is at least two weeks overdue now, and during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, big sister Jessica Simpson revealed that Ashlee’s actually considering having labor induced.

“They’re going to have to induce labor,” she said. “It’s already developing really quick.”

Jessica also revealed that Ashlee’s been trying all sorts of ways to get herself to go into labor. “Different foot massages and stuff,” Jessica said. “I don’t know. I think she’s really just jumping around trying everything right now.”

“There was a lot of excited talk between the two girls” at the Sunset Towers Hotel last night, an onlooker reported. However, both couples were seated at separate tables. They took a break from their meal to chat for a bit, “with Nicole’s head bobbing up and down as she talked to Jen,” says the onlooker, who adds that when Nicole left she gave an “exaggerated, very happy wave” goodbye.

Besides a little social action, Jen & John were said to be enjoying a romantic late-night meal.
“They were positively glowing in the candlelight,” the onlooker said. “You could see her classic ‘Aniston smile’ on her face.”

Mariah Carey sure has plans to make the holiday season fun for hubby Nick Cannon.

“I always get Santa lingerie, even if nobody sees it,” the singer said. “But this year it will be appreciated!”

Stripping down for the holidays is apparently a Carey holiday tradition.

“[My girlfriends and I] go in the hot tub in our Christmas bikinis, then roll in the fresh snow and jump back in,” says the 39 year old, who usually opts for “a red bikini with a Santa hat.”

But that doesn’t mean she isn’t excited about starting her own sweet traditions with Cannon.

“I’m really looking forward to being in love on Christmas,” she says. “The holidays are always great, but being in love … is going to be the icing on the cake.”
